Foreign bloggers arrived in Murmansk as part of the «Russian North» tour

20 July 2026

Foreign bloggers have arrived in Murmansk, participating in a train tour of the Russian North. The journey is a "hotel on wheels": the train travels between cities at night, and during the day, participants are offered a comprehensive excursion program.

Over the course of a week, guests from Indonesia, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan will visit Arkhangelsk, Belomorsk, Petrozavodsk, Sortavala, Vyborg, and today they headed to Teriberka to see the world-famous Dragon's Eggs beach, Batareisky Waterfall, and the ship graveyard.

Their introduction to the Arctic began with a meeting with Marta Govor, Minister of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the Murmansk Region, who presented the region's tourism potential. The meeting took the form of a business breakfast.

"Each of our guests becomes an ambassador for the Murmansk Region. Because once you come here, it's impossible not to fall in love with the Arctic nature, the landscapes, the colors, and the flavors." "The Northern Lights and whales, skiing and quiet hunting, the setting summer sun and the autumn tundra, Arctic cuisine—every season is the best time to visit the Murmansk Region," said Marta Govor.

The trip was organized by Russian Railways and the Federation Council to showcase the country's openness and introduce visitors to the culture, traditions, and history of the northern regions.

In 2025, the region welcomed approximately 800,000 tourists, nearly one in ten of whom were foreigners.
