On June 2, 2026, a working meeting was held between Deputy Head of the City of Murmansk A.A. Kostin and Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Tourism – Investment Commissioner of the Murmansk City Administration A.S. Varich with a delegation from the city of Sortavala, Republic of Karelia, headed by Sergey Vladimirovich Krupin, Head of the Sortavala Municipal District.
The delegation includes specialists in the fields of architecture and urban planning, investment development and tourist attractiveness, and land and property relations.
Colleagues came to the hero city of Murmansk as part of an exchange of practices in tourism development, landscaping, the placement of non-profit organizations, and enhancing the attractiveness of the area for both investment and tourism.
The visit program also includes a tour of the hero city's sights, Arctic cuisine, and a tour of the Murmansk region.
