The Victory Train will arrive in the Murmansk Region. Residents and visitors to Murmansk will be able to see a unique exhibition on the events of the Great Patriotic War from May 17 to 20. The exhibition will then travel to Apatity, where it will be open to visitors on May 21. Residents of Kandalaksha will be able to experience the museum on wheels on May 22.
"Victory Train" is the world's first immersive interactive exhibition housed on a moving train. Ten themed carriages are dedicated to specific events or milestones of the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition recreates historical reality using modern technologies: augmented reality, surround sound, and theatrical lighting of realistic figures.
The project was implemented by the Nevsky Batalist creative workshop team in collaboration with the Krasny Kvadrat media group, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Russian Railways, and the Victory Volunteers public organization.
Since its inception six years ago, the "Victory Train" exhibition-museum has been visited by over 1.45 million residents of Russia, Abkhazia, and Belarus.
Tickets can be obtained free of charge on the project website, poezdpobedy.rf, after registration. Registration opens approximately 24 hours before the train's arrival and typically closes quickly due to high demand. Your registered ticket will be sent to the email address you provided during registration. In accordance with the Federal Law "On the Protection of Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development," the exhibition is rated 12+.
Groups board the train at five-minute intervals, having first shown their electronic ticket to the inspectors—Victory Volunteers. Therefore, it is crucial to arrive on time and plan to arrive at the station with some extra time.
Given the interest in the "Victory Trains" exhibition and the limited number of audio guides available for groups, visitors can also listen to the tour via a mobile app available for iPhone and Android. You can also visit the train online using the 3D tour on the project website.
