The sister city is currently hosting the 35th Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair and the 10th Russia-China Expo. Murmansk's participation in these international events takes on special significance given that 2026 marks four anniversaries: the 110th anniversary of Murmansk, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Russian partnership and strategic cooperation, the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between China and Russia, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of sister city relations between Murmansk and Harbin.
A key highlight of the visit's itinerary was a visit to the Harbin Municipal Administration for Road and Bridge Construction and Maintenance. The experience gained from their Chinese colleagues will certainly be applied in practice. On Monday, the delegation will have a busy schedule, culminating in an official reception hosted by Harbin Mayor Wang Hesheng.
The friendship and active cooperation between Murmansk and Harbin is a significant contribution to the development of strategic partnership and good-neighborly relations between the two great powers.
