Murmansk Governor Andrei Chibis received a delegation from Ms. Park Ji-eun, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in St. Petersburg, as part of the diplomat's introduction to the constituent entities of the Russian Federation within her consular district.
The meeting focused on the advantages of the Murmansk Region as a key Arctic territory for Russia. The Consul General noted the region's strong interest in terms of both its logistical capabilities and the development of cooperation in tourism and science.
"Murmansk is a key port on the Northern Sea Route, a key section of the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor. Navigation along this route is a key intersection of our interests. This is one of the safest and most promising routes in the world, an important growth point for enhancing international cooperation," noted Andrei Chibis.
