Based on the results of the first two months of 2026, the Murmansk Region is among the leaders in terms of international tourist growth (along with the Kaliningrad Region and St. Petersburg): +33.8% compared to the same period last year.
This is confirmed by Rosstat data analyzed by experts at the Center for Strategic Research.
In terms of the share of international tourists, the Murmansk Region ranks first among all Russian regions, accounting for 24% of all those accommodated in the Kaliningrad and Entrepreneurship Region (KSR) (29,100 people in total). By comparison, the share of international tourists nationwide is approximately 7%.
