The State Council Commission on Export Supported the Russian Export Center"s Program to Promote the National Brand «Made in Russia»

The State Council of the Russian Federation Commission on International Cooperation and Export, chaired by Arkhangelsk Region Governor Alexander Tsybulsky, supported the program for promoting domestic products abroad under the national brand Made in Russia, prepared by the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF Group) as part of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation. The draft program was presented at a meeting of the commission on December 13 by REC General Director Veronika Nikishina.

"The Russian Export Center has been promoting the products of Russian exporters under the brand "Made in Russia" for the past few years. Now, in the conditions of high competition and the presence of strong national brands of other countries on the world market, the importance of promoting Russian companies under a single national brand is increasing," Veronika Nikishina emphasized.

According to her, it is necessary to coordinate the efforts and resources of the federal center and regions to promote domestic companies, while maintaining and emphasizing the identity of the regions and their distinctive features. In particular, the REC proposes coordinating efforts to conduct events to promote companies, as well as working out the integration of regional certification programs with the voluntary certification system "Made in Russia". Such steps will help to form the correct positioning of Russian exporters and improve the perception of the country abroad.

"An important issue on today"s agenda: the Russian Export Center"s program for promoting the national brand "Made in Russia". It is aimed at giving all Russian exporters the opportunity to promote their goods in friendly foreign markets under this quality mark. The more they know about our goods abroad, the faster our export volume will increase. To do this, we need to develop the REC"s marketing program," noted Alexander Tsybulsky.

As the head of the REC explained, the program will include a set of tools that will promote products and shape the attractiveness of “Russianness”: exhibition and fair events, including the “Made in Russia” festival-fairs, advertising and information tools for export promotion, and special promotional campaigns for foreign markets.

On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Program for the Promotion of the National Brand "Made in Russia" Abroad for the Period up to 2030 will be approved by the end of 2024. From 2025, it will be included as a separate significant element in the updated national project "International Cooperation and Export" to promote the national brand in the markets of friendly countries and to increase non-resource, non-energy exports.
