On April 5, 2024, a meeting was held with the head of Murmansk municipal formation Igor Morar with the mayor of the Ulan-Ude of the Republic of Buryatia Igor Shutenkov.
The main purpose of the visit is to exchange experience in the development of the urban environment, practices in the framework of increasing the quality index of the urban environment, as well as the development of tourism. According to the results of calculating the Urban Environment Quality Index for 2023, the city of Murmansk was included in the top five large and large cities with a favorable environment.
The parties exchanged experience in various areas of work of the municipal government, in particular, issues of improvement, public transport, construction of social facilities, and discussed issues of tourism development.
Buryatia is a unique region with cultural and natural diversity. The territory of the Republic combines landscapes from mountain-tundra to steppe. And, of course, Lake Baikal is a point of attraction for tourists from all over the world.
In recent years, tourism development in the Murmansk region has reached a new level. People come here for northern landscapes, Arctic cuisine and history. The task of the regional center is to create comfortable conditions for guests to stay in the North.
