A Chinese Language Resource Center has opened at the Murmansk International Lyceum. It is headed by Tatyana Trukhina, a highly qualified Chinese language teacher. The lyceum was able to attract this valuable specialist, in part, thanks to the governor's "Course to the North" personnel program.
"Tatyana Valeryevna is a highly skilled professional, and we are proud that we helped her find a compelling employment opportunity so quickly. From the moment Tatyana Valeryevna submitted her application until her relocation, only two weeks passed," said Irina Brinkova, coordinator of the "Course to the North" project.
Classes for Murmansk schoolchildren at the Language Resource Center will begin after the February holidays and will be free of charge. In addition, commercial Chinese language classes for adults will begin on March 2.
"Adults will be able to study Chinese at the new language center at the Murmansk International Lyceum. This will definitely allow us to bring in sought-after specialists to the tourism industry and make the stay of Chinese guests in the region more comfortable. Obviously, any tourist appreciates receiving information in their native language. I encourage our guides and tour operators to take advantage of this opportunity," commented Marta Govor, Minister of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the Murmansk Region, at the opening of the Chinese Language Training Center.
Classes for adult groups will be held weekly on Mondays in person from 6:00 pm (2 lessons of 45 minutes).
