In 2025, Murmansk Region demonstrated record growth in international tourist arrivals, with 54.5% more foreigners visiting our region than the previous year. This was reported by the Center for Strategic Research (CSR), citing Rosstat data.
According to experts, every 50th international tourist visiting Russia travels to the Arctic zone and regions of the Russian North. The number of foreign travelers to these regions increased by 23.3% last year, outpacing the Russian average (+14.9%). In 2025, 2.7 million trips were made to the Russian Arctic zone and the Russian North, accounting for 3% of all tourist trips within the Russian Federation.
According to the study, the Murmansk Region also ranked among the most popular destinations in Russia's Silver Necklace, with nearly one in five foreign tourists traveling there in 2025.
