Express tours and a children's corner: the regional history museum is introducing new formats

21 January 2026

The Murmansk Regional Museum of Local History has introduced two new formats aimed at improving accessibility and comfort for visitors of all ages.

Guests can now take 45-minute themed express tours for small groups on Saturdays. Each tour will cover a specific topic, allowing for a deeper dive into the history and nature of the Kola Arctic. For more information and to register, please call (8152) 99-44-58 on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Tickets are available at the museum box office, including with the Pushkin Card.

A special play area in the museum lobby has also been opened for northerners with children. Here, young visitors under 7, accompanied by their parents, can draw, play board games, and read. The new area creates the conditions for a comfortable family vacation and introduces them to the history of our region from an early age.

The regional museum reopened last March after a major renovation as part of the governor's "Living in the North!" plan. And already in the fall, the museum saw its first innovations for visitor comfort: a buffet and a souvenir shop opened.
