On November 27, 2025, at a meeting of the Council of Deputies of the city of Murmansk, the following decisions were adopted: “On the organization of inter-municipal cooperation between the municipal formation of the urban district of the hero city of Murmansk and the municipal formation of the urban district of the hero city of Novorossiysk of Krasnodar Krai” (No. 17-280) and “On the organization of inter-municipal cooperation between the municipal formation of the urban district of the hero city of Murmansk and the urban district of Smolensk” (No. 17-281).
Correspondence is ongoing with the leadership of Novorossiysk and Smolensk during 2024-2025 regarding the implementation of joint projects. Cooperation is envisaged in the social sphere (education, culture, physical education and sports, and the development of patriotic movements), the economic sphere (primarily the development of trade relations between businesses in our cities), and the development of mutual tourism.
