This week, a delegation from the Altai Krai is visiting the Murmansk Region. At an official meeting with the delegation, Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, presented the region"s economic potential and ongoing projects, as well as the Arctic fishing industry and tourism. Colleagues from the Altai Krai presented key development vectors for industry and manufacturing in their region.
The parties discussed key areas of interregional cooperation and development prospects, cementing their agreements by signing an Action Plan for 2025-2028 for the implementation of the Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation between the Administration of Altai Krai and the Government of Murmansk Oblast. The business portion of the visit included several specialized roundtable discussions on cooperation between Altai Krai and Murmansk Oblast in the extractive industries, metallurgy, and the fuel and energy complex; food; and spa and resort tourism. Negotiations also took place regarding the supply of local fish products.
In the coming days, a delegation from the Altai Territory will visit manufacturing facilities and sites in the Murmansk Region. The delegation is led by Vitaly Snesar, Deputy Chairman of the Altai Territory Government and Head of the Governor"s Administration and Government of the Altai Territory. The delegation includes Vyacheslav Khimochka, Minister of Industry and Energy of the Altai Territory, and heads of companies producing boiler equipment, polymer composite materials, flour and cereal products, and cheeses, as well as representatives of health resorts, a fish processing company, and a school nutrition plant.
