From September 11 to 13, Moscow will host the international interior exhibition "Russian House". One of the stands will feature a unique interior capsule dedicated to the cultural heritage and natural aesthetics of the Kola Arctic. The special project was prepared by a design studio led by Murmansk native Maria Zasukhina.
The capsule concept is based on the natural beauty of the North. The design is based on a combination of contrasts, decorative plaster with various textures was used for finishing. The northern ornament gives the interior its uniqueness. A geometric pattern-symbol was chosen as the key motif: in a monochrome range, it is applied to glass and also acts as a bright accent on the wall. The ceiling imitates the northern lights. Warm light and soft fabrics symbolize the cordiality and hospitality of northerners, the ability to create coziness even in the harshest conditions.
"The project of our fellow countrywoman Maria Zasukhina is a vivid example of how talented people, even having left the region, continue to be its cultural ambassadors. Such a dialogue strengthens the connection between the region and its representatives, wherever they are, and clearly demonstrates how the nature and cultural code of the Russian Arctic become a powerful resource for creativity in a variety of incarnations," noted Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region Alexandra Kondaurova.
According to the organizers, already at the preparation stage, the project aroused keen interest in the professional community as a successful example of integrating regional identity into a modern interior.
The exhibition will be held at the address: Moscow, Entuziastov Highway, 5, building 2 (MTS Live Hall).
