The Tourist Information Centre of the Murmansk Region invites amateurs and professionals of photography to take part in the regional photo contest "Vacation in the North!" This is an opportunity to show the world the unique landscapes, rich culture and inimitable nature of the Murmansk Region. The contest is held as part of the Governor"s plan "Live in the North!"
The main goal of the photo contest is to popularize tourism in the Murmansk Region through the creation and distribution of high-quality visual content. The places, tourist sites, routes and events captured in the photographs will attract the attention of both Russian and foreign tourists.
Anyone who has reached the age of 18 can take part in the contest "Vacation in the North!"
Nominations of the photo contest:
• Landscape – shots illustrating the grandeur, versatility and beauty of pristine
nature;
• Wild animals – shots illustrating moments from the lives of animals in their natural habitat;
• Natural phenomena – shots illustrating the uniqueness of a natural phenomenon in all its beauty and diversity;
• Architecture – shots reflecting historical and cultural monuments, landmarks, cultural heritage sites;
• Traditions and crafts – shots reflecting traditional life and culture;
• Festivals and events – shots taken during various festivals and other events reflecting the multifaceted culture of the Kola Peninsula. For example, the festivals "Belomorye", "Imandra", "Gastro Industry Fest".
One participant is allowed to submit no more than one application in each section corresponding to the administrative-territorial units of the Murmansk region.
The photo contest will run until October 17, 2025 on the "Nash Sever" portal at the link.
After the deadline for accepting works, from October 21 to October 31, 2025, a public vote will be held, where everyone can vote for their favorite photos.
