An extended meeting of representatives of the Murmansk Region and a delegation of Belarusian business, headed by the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, took place at the Regional Control Centre, where the parties discussed the further development of trade and economic ties.
The business delegation of the Republic of Belarus included enterprises operating in the agro-industrial complex (producers of meat, dairy and flour products), companies producing passenger, road construction and agricultural equipment, as well as nitrogen compounds and fertilizers.
The event was attended by representatives of executive bodies, as well as business circles of the Murmansk region and the Gomel region.
The Republic of Belarus traditionally remains an important partner of the Murmansk region and has great potential for further development of trade and economic ties. Particular attention is paid to the development of direct business contacts between the regions.
The delegation of Belarusian business was represented by the acting Deputy Director General of the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Foreign Economic Activity Vitaly Shevchenko. At the meeting, he spoke about the activities of the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Then, presentations of the enterprises included in the delegation took place.
An important event was the signing of a memorandum of intent between OJSC “Management Company of the Gomel Meat and Dairy Company Holding” and LLC “Aquapipe SPb” (Murmansk branch).
The meeting ended with a series of negotiations between representatives of the Belarusian delegation and Murmansk entrepreneurs.
The Belarusian delegation’s work program also includes visits to industry enterprises in the region and a consultation meeting with representatives of executive bodies on issues of participation in procurement procedures, tenders, and interaction with government customers.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region.
