At the invitation of Alanya Mayor Osman Tarik Ozcelik, the delegation from Murmansk will take part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the celebration of Turkey"s National Sovereignty Day and Children"s Day. The double holiday is celebrated in the Republic of Turkey on April 23.
The delegation to sunny Turkey included students and teachers from the Children"s Theatre School and Children"s Music School No. 1 named after Antonina Volkova.
Murmansk residents will have a busy program: from excursions to the main sights of the city, fortresses built in the 8th century, and museums to a meeting with the mayor and a performance at a festive concert. Murmansk residents will also meet Turkish students and delegations from other sister cities of Alanya.
