REC begins accepting applications for participation in the All-Russian award «Exporter of the Year – 2025»

The Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region together with the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) invites export-oriented companies of the region to take part in  the All-Russian award "Exporter of the Year – 2025" . This year,  applications for participation  in the competition are accepted from April 1 to May 31 inclusive.

The competition is open to large companies, small and medium businesses, and individual entrepreneurs. Participation in the competition is free.

The winners of the competition will be determined in two stages. The winners of the first stage, which covers each federal district, will be announced in July. Then, among the companies that took first place at the district stage in their category, the winners at the federal level will be selected. The award ceremony for the winners of the federal stage, the best exporters of 2025, will take place in the fall at the International Export Forum "Made in Russia". The statuettes will be presented to the winners by high-ranking representatives of the country"s government bodies.

"Over the many years of this prestigious competition, thousands of companies have taken part, each of which has demonstrated its impressive achievements. These successes are the best confirmation of the reliability and strength of Russian business, a symbol of quality that shows the world the potential of our economy. "Exporter of the Year" allows the country to present successful examples of entrepreneurship and innovation, emphasizing the dynamic development of our exports and its readiness for international competition," added Veronika Nikishina, General Director of the Russian Export Center.

The Exporter of the Year award in 2025 will be presented in 20 nominations: six main nominations (separately for SMEs and separately for large businesses, 12 in total) and five additional nominations (depending on the size of the company, 8 in total).

Main nominations (SMEs and large businesses):
– "Exporter of the Year in Industry"
– "Exporter of the Year in Mechanical Engineering"
– "Exporter of the Year in Basic Agricultural Products"
– "Exporter of the Year in Finished Food Products" (high value added)
– "Exporter of the Year in Services"
– "Trader of the Year".

Additional nominations / large business (can be selected in addition to the main ones):
– "Responsible Exporter (ESG)";
– "Best Female Exporter";
– "New Geography".

Additional nominations / SMEs (can be selected in addition to the main ones):
– "Responsible Exporter (ESG)"
– "Best Female Exporter"
– "Best Young Entrepreneur Exporter"
– "Breakthrough of the Year"
– "Best E-Commerce Exporter".

You can submit an application by filling out an electronic form  on the award website.  At the initial stage, exporters will only need to provide an electronic copy of the Certificate of Registration with the Tax Authority (a copy of the Taxpayer Identification Number), and for SME companies – information from the Unified Register of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses.

Only companies that have no outstanding obligations to pay taxes, fees, insurance premiums, penalties and fines, as well as overdue debt to the budget of the Russian Federation, may participate in the competition. Foreign legal entities and organizations whose founders or participants are foreign companies cannot be applicants for the award.

The Exporter of the Year Award was established by the Government of the Russian Federation and is held within the framework of the national project International Cooperation and Export. As an all-Russian competition, it has been held for the past seven years. During this time, more than five thousand unique companies have taken part in the competition. The organizers of the competitions are the Russian Export Center, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
