Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a greeting to the participants, organizers and guests of the 6th International Arctic Forum "The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue", which will be held on March 26-27 in the Arctic zone of Russia.
In his greeting, the head of the Russian state noted that the meeting is being held for the first time in Murmansk, a city that can rightfully be called Russia"s gateway to the Arctic. During the Forum, government officials, renowned scientists and experts will comprehensively discuss issues of ensuring security and cooperation in the region, supporting breakthrough energy, infrastructure and environmental projects. They will exchange opinions on the prospects for implementing popular research and cultural programs.
"The motto of this Forum – "Live in the North!" – fully reflects one of our key priorities for the development of Arctic territories – comprehensive renewal, improvement of cities and towns, improving the quality of life of people. First of all, through the creation of modern jobs, further growth of the economy and the social sphere," the greeting says. "The Russian Arctic offers enormous opportunities for creative work, for the application of the efforts and talents of young people, specialists of various professions, for the launch of bold entrepreneurial, scientific and creative initiatives. And in this major work, we are committed to cooperation with all interested partner states and integration associations," Vladimir Putin emphasized.
He also particularly noted the importance of improving the region"s transport framework, including ports, railways, air traffic and the organization of year-round navigation along the Northern Sea Route.
The President expressed confidence that the participants of the MAF-2025 will hold meaningful and constructive discussions, and the ideas and recommendations of its participants will be in demand in practice.
