In October and November 2023, a comprehensive study is taking place in the city of Murmansk, conducted by the Institute of Economics of the Karelian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, dedicated to the study of the life of Arctic cities and towns. One of its important parts is a survey of the local population about current problems in the development of the city, its labor resources, environmental well-being, as well as on the cultural characteristics of the living population.
The study is carried out in the format of a sample survey, the sample is random. During this period, interviewers may contact city residents to fill out a questionnaire.
The summarized results and conclusions of the research will be sent to regional and federal government bodies as an analytical basis for making informed decisions. All survey materials will be used to obtain a general assessment of the environmental and economic situation in the city, therefore the address and surname of respondents will not be recorded during the survey.
