Today, representatives of the Murmansk city administration took part in the International Economic Cooperation Forum, which brought together more than 200 participants from 21 countries. The northerners also visited the innovative territory "Minsk City Technopark" and the educational institution for gifted children "National Children"s Technopark".
On September 9, Minsk will host festive events dedicated to the 956th anniversary of the city. The delegation of the city of Murmansk will take part in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the obelisk “Minsk – Hero City”, after which they will visit the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War.
The agreement on establishing sister city relations between Murmansk and Minsk was concluded on August 21, 2014. For nine years, cooperation between the hero cities has not stopped, and trade, economic and cultural interaction between the Republic of Belarus and the Murmansk region has been strengthened.
