On October 03, 2021, a big holiday dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the regional center took place in Murmansk.
Traditional sports events began with the XI auto-moto rally "Kola – Murmansk". Also, the 85th Kola – Murmansk track and field race and a 105 meter open water swim at Lake Semenov took place.
Throughout the day, a fair and thematic sites on Lenin Avenue worked for the townspeople, where everyone could take part in sports events, shows, exhibitions and master classes, watch the performances of creative teams of the Murmansk region and the city, confess their love to their beloved Murmansk.
Murmansk residents were congratulated by the acting head of the Murmansk city administration Valentina Dotsnik.
– Happy holiday, happy birthday of our beloved Murmansk! I am confident that the city has a great future. After all, amazing people live here, selflessly loving their city. I wish you happiness, dear residents of Murmansk. Strong health and success!
After the gala concert of the city"s creative teams and guests of the holiday, the governor of the Murmansk region addressed the northerners from the stage.
– I congratulate you on the anniversary of our hero city, a toiler city, the largest city beyond the Arctic Circle. The city, which every year becomes brighter and more modern, – said Andrey Chibis. – Happy holiday to all Murmansk citizens, all residents of the Arctic capital! Happiness, health, success and good mood.
The culmination of the holiday was the drone show and the mapping show “We are proud of our city”. The multicolored lights that filled the sky gathered into such familiar and familiar symbols for the city"s residents: over Murmansk one could see the monument to Alyosha, the outlines of ships, the coat of arms of the city and many other iconic figures.
Colorful pictures of the North literally came to life on the facade of the "Arctic". The show ended with a grandiose fireworks display.
