On April 06, 2021, an online meeting of representatives of Murmansk city Administration with the Deputy Chairman of Minsk Executive Committee Yu.V. Trushchenko took place (Republic of Belarus).
The meeting participants discussed the possibilities and prospects of international cooperation. Evgeny Nikora proposed to continue cooperation in the field of industrial production, in general, business development between the cities of Minsk and Murmansk, and an increase in export volumes. E.V. Nikora spoke about the implementation of projects in the territory of priority social and economic development "Capital of the Arctic" and in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. Thanks to the adoption of a package of laws, the Russian Arctic is becoming the largest economic zone in Russia and the world with a single set of tax and administrative preferences. The Murmansk region is one of the few regions that is fully included in the Arctic zone. The Belarusian side noted that today Minsk enterprises supply more than 60 types of products to the Murmansk region (X-ray equipment, cabling and wiring products, motor vehicles and vehicles, track equipment and devices for railway and tramways). Also, in June-August 2021, a visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Murmansk region is planned to discuss further development in the field of business.
The parties discussed the issue of organizing a tour of the troupe MAOU DO "Children"s Theater School of the City of Murmansk" on the stage of the Belarusian State Academic Theater for Young Spectators of the tour in 2021. Pandemic of the new coronavirus infection prevented the planned tour of the troupe in 2020
MAOU DO "Children"s theater school of Murmansk city". The Belarusian side proposed to postpone the tour to 2022 in view of the approved action plan for 2021 and current restrictions.
Chief freelance infectious disease specialist of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Velgin S.O. informed about the situation with the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the city of Minsk. The Belarusian side proposed the possibility of organizing a medical forum (possibly online) in order to exchange experience in the clinical management of patients with COVID-19. Head of the city administration of Murmansk E.V. Nikora also informed about the current epidemiological situation in the city of Murmansk.
Separately, the meeting participants discussed the development of the transport sector in the city of Murmansk. S.E. Korobkov, General Director
JSC "Electrotransport", informed about cooperation with JSC "MAZ". In the first quarter of 2021, four units of transport were purchased, by the end of the year it is planned to purchase units of transport for about $ 1.5 million.
Evgeny Nikora invited a delegation from Minsk to take part in the celebration of Murmansk city Day on October 4, 2021 (subject to the removal of restrictions and the opening of borders). In turn, the Belarusian side invited the head and representatives of the administration of the city of Murmansk in September 2021 to take part in events timed to coincide with the celebration of Minsk city Day.
