June 20, 2020 marks the 31st anniversary of the signing of an agreement on the establishment of twinning relations between the cities of Murmansk and Groningen (Netherlands).
Representatives of Murmansk city Administration, as well as active members of the public organization “Sister cities of Murmansk-Groningen” took part in the project “Photo greetings to friendly Groningen”. During the meeting, the participants discussed the prospects for further implementation of joint projects following the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the world. Currently, an Action Plan for 2020-2030 has been formed, which will soon be sent to the twin cities for approval. Materials on the results of the meeting, including photographs, were sent in electronic form as part of the "Photo Greetings" to the administration of the city of Groningen.
Recall that the celebration of the 30th anniversary of twinning was held in June 2019 in Murmansk, and on November 28, 2019, a working meeting of representatives of Murmansk city Administration was held at the mayor"s office of Groningen.
